Dede is a Student of the Year finalist in the Neuroscience Program! She has had a fantastic academic career at DePaul and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors! Here she is presenting her summer research findings at the IL-LSAMP conference this past February:

November 2023

Dede and Juliet were both awarded Undergraduate Research Assistantship Program (URAP) awards by the College of Science and Health! They will utilize the funding to continue their research projects on measuring activity-dependent changes in the glycosylation of synaptic proteins. Congrats to you both!

Juliet did an excellent job presenting the findings from her summer research in the lab at the College of Science and Health’s Annual Undergraduate STEM Research Showcase!

October 2023

Very pleased to contribute as a co-author to a new report in Nature Communications from the Dickinson Lab at the University of Chicago. Their work highlights a new methodological approach to upregulate the translation of mRNAs of interest in different tissue systems.

June 2023

We welcomed the first members of the Jeyifous Lab, Dede Assadji and Juliet Peterka! Both students received funding to conduct research in the lab this summer.
